WebHelper Toolbar

Monday, September 11th, 2006

For the web designer that thought they had everything, WebWinX.com has something for you. This thing even has a radio on it.

That’s right. Do your researches, follow your favorite blogs, check the weather, look up that strange word in a dictionary, and listen to the radio all at once.

The toolbar sports plenty of web design tools, analyzers, optimizers, generators, and validators. The WebHelper Toolbar offers a long drop-down list of search features and resources, along with a highlighter function that will highlight your search keywords in found pages.

The WebHelper Toolbar is free. It works on Windows machines using Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers. Easy to follow installation instructions and it’s easy to uninstall as well. Two very good features and there are no spamware or spyware attached to this tool. If you decide to get rid of it, it goes away nicely and does not come back to bother you again.

Besides being free, and not having badware attached to it, and going away nicely if we want, besides those prerequisites, the WebHelper Toolbar has a small footprint both in weight and in browser real estate. The slim, thin, interface is not cumbersome or ugly on our view port. I have to say, if this thing were large and covered much territory, it would not live long on my browser. Instead, this low profile tool bin takes up very little space and has a preference setting (Shrink/Unshrink) to help minimize it even further.

There are plenty of resources, links, web design articles and tools. The RSS feeds update dynamically and offer a variety of topics and tutorials. Hey, there is even a live chat client for chatting up your web design buddies. What more could we ask for?
